I didn't see anything at the link you provided; maybe it expired.

Anyway, I discovered pre-code movies earlier this year. I was at first pretty shocked. I never realized there was a pre-code period. Having now seen quite a few of these films, including this one, I find them very refreshing.

They deal with mature topics like sex in a way that's very suggestive yet subtle and not at all raunchy or sleazy. You either know what they're talking about or you don't; either way you can enjoy the movie. There may be some that push the envelope much further but so far I haven't seen any that go too far.

I can imagine how different this movie would be had it been made a few years later; much less risque but just as entertaining. Pre-code or post code doesn't really matter to me. I find lately I enjoy the older movies far more than anything more recent. I wish the filmmakers today would take a note from the past and tone down the blatant sexuality and violence in their movies. They can stand to go a little easy on the special effects too. It's all a bit too much for my taste.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
