John Wayne fans; cliffhanger serial fans; where are you?

Nobody seems to be posting on the cliffhanger serial boards and that's a shame, because there's some good stuff in those. This one has a young John Wayne and has plenty of good rip roaring serial action.

Anyone here to talk about it?

I just bought a Treeline 'Mega Pack' of twelve serials...twenty bucks.

I love the old serials, don't know much about them, but this is the first chance I've had to watch them on a recording.

I was just getting ready to say the same thing about the Treeline "Mega Pack."
Back in the mid 80s our local PBS had a Saturday afternoon series called "Matinee at the Bijou." The would usually have a cartoon, short feature, sometimes a newsreel, then an episode of an old serial followed by the feature film. Two great hours of oldtime entertainment that I greatly enjoyed. I fell in love with the old serials at that time and am watching this one (Hurricane) right now. Campy, bad acting, poor scripts.. kinda like that ugly dog that you owned as a kid that was always your favorite.
