I agree with you 100 per cent. I haven't watch TCM in six weeks and am a daily viewer. I probably have seen most of Wm Powell movies but have never seen High Pressure. This movie stands near the top of a great stack of work. William Powell is so smooth and easy on the eyes. Playing a fast talking promoter is so natural for him it doesnt mater the plot. This was a great movie played by a great actor, even if he never got a academy award.

5 years later and today 3/12-a slew of "B" Powell pictures are running all day.
I love these old "so,so" flickers too.If I hear another complaint from todays audience about Frank McHughs trademark "HaHaaaaHa",Im gonna hunt 'em down.
They dont appreciate the humor of yesterday and try to frame it in todays context.
