Of course, instead of the object being to get sugar daddies, the 3 ladies (Lauren Bacall, Marilyn Monroe, and Betty Grable) are looking for rich husbands.

This movie is much more blunt about the women's avarice and it's kind of fun to hear people plainly stating what they are after. This was pre-code Hollywood for you.

Every time I see one of these early movies (all the way up to the 40's) I wish there were clubs that were as much fun as these seem to be. A big difference seems to be the volume of music. In clubs these days, you can't really have a conversation as your eardrums are blasted (perhaps with permanent damage) by sound systems that are always set at max volume.
