. Someone says something untrue and in the repeating of it, it comes to be regarded as fact.

Garbo is billed simply as Garbo in "The Painted Veil"(1934). The story about Thalberg is rubbish.

I hate the Trivia section of IMDB only because nobody links their source. It's like it's forbidden or something.
