Joe E. Brown slips in an expletive!?

While writing a letter to one of his girlfriends, he crumbles it up and pensively says "S*#+....., I'll tell her in person". I thought I was hearing things, but there it is, clear as day.

Heard it too.

There's definitely a "sh" followed by a "t", and it clearly was not "shoot"!

The movie was precode. They weren't too careful then.

Soy 'un hijo de la playa'

Just saw it and he says "Shucks, I'll tell her in person". Not a word you hear a lot these days, but pretty common in the '30's. He says it a number of times in the movie.

Boy Wonder Robin got away with saying "Holy Shucks" in a 1960s Batman episode.
