Some of the 'expert' reviews on this site are laughable

This is from one of the supposed "expert" reviews: "And in one of the most famous scenes in film history, Hedy Lamarr became the first person to ever appear nude in a major film. Her frolic in the woods and her skinny-dipping adventure in the lake were legendarily scandalous. But the audiences couldn't stay away. As with many of today's movies, the controversy made it a must-see film."

Let's fix the revisionist history and obvious ignorance one by one, shall we?

- It's not an overly known scene in film history.
- It's not a major film, never was, and Hedy Lamarr is definitely not the first actress to be nude in a film. Nudity had been a part of film-making from the beginning.
- The audiences in the U.S. had no trouble "staying away." The film was barely shown in the U.S. at all. It's probably been shown more times in the last 10 years than all the times in the 1930's. Very few movie houses had the opportunity to show it, even if they had wanted to. Most didn't.

Another example of what happens when you allow anyone and everyone to participate. An unavoidable by-product, I suppose.
