TOP TEN greatest Horror films of the Great 1930s

Many pioneer work of film horror was made in the amazing 30s. This is my choice for the absolute most important but also enjoyable, in no order:

FRANKENSTEIN 1931 (iconic!)
DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE 1931 (Definitive!)
ISLE OF LOST SOULS 1932 (Violent, repulsive, haunting!)
FREAKS 1932 (Timeless, unashamed!)
VAMPYR 1932 (Account w the supernatural!)
THE MUMMY 1932 (uneven, but Karloffs best!)
MOST DANGEROUS GAME 1932 (Points directly to films of today!)
KING KONG 1933 (More than a film!)
MAD LOVE 1935 (Sickest love story!)
BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN 1935 (Iconic dark fantasy!)

and for the sake of love for these...
THE INVISIBLE MAN 1933
WHITE ZOMBIE 1932
WEREWOLF OF LONDON 1935

What do you think?
And, Hey, Try to watch the first three American horrorfilm classics Dracula, Frankenstein and Jekyll and Mr Hyde, under the same sitting. Is it not amazing how different they are?

I'd throw in The Old Dark House and take out King Kong. Kong was, of course, a monster movie, but more sensational than horrific, like a modern blockbuster.

The Old Dark House, although not widely considered a classic, has some wonderful, moody direction and makeup that make it (in my opinion) one of the best of the decade.
