Downton Abbey

As I've just started watching Series Two of Downton Abbey, I couldn't help myself from thinking about the show while I was watching Downstairs.

John Gilbert is Barrow. Only a lot more evil!

Olga Baclanova is Cora.

Paul Lukas is Bates. (And also a little bit of Carson.)

Virginia Bruce is Anna.

And the cook, Sophie, is equal parts Daisy and Mrs. Patmore.

The downstairs area - the kitchen, the corridor, the staff room - all looked so much like the servants' quarters in Downton Abbey. I guess there isn't much variation in structures like that.
