Doris got screwed (in more ways than one)

After the affair is revealed, all of the angst is about the damage to the lives of Jim and Clemency, and no one seems to be very concerned about Doris, who was so distraught she killed herself. Oh well, just a shop girl.

I noticed that as well. All during the last conversation between Henry Stephenson's character John Tring and Katy Francis's character Clemency I kept waiting for mention of the poor young dead girl. Not a single word, heartless. I wonder why there aren't other comments on this board about it.
