Surprised By AFI's 100 Top Movie Quotes

I would have bet money that Bette Davis's line, 'I'd love to kiss you, but I just washed my hair.' would have made the AFI's 100 Top Movie Quotes list. It was on their ballot, but didn't get enough votes.

Definitely a classic. Bette often said this was her all time favorite line.

Should have been in the top 100, that's for sure- a unique and funny quote.

I'm surprised to read this. I think its just because this is such an obscure movie nobody has seen nowadays and Bette Davis had a lot more well-known roles under her credit. Although it is a memorable line, I definitley don't think its one of the top 100.

I wouldn't have known about this movie if it were not for TCM airing it on June 8th of last month.

Yeah that line should be in there.
