Interesting relic worth viewing

This seems like a very primitive film in some ways, but in others, there is some very well thought out acting moments.

I thought that John Barrymore was huge in this. That moment where he pleads with Billie Burke to take him back - I felt it in a big way. And her conflict and torment she felt over whether to take back her long absent husband or if she should go on with her new man.

Katharine Hepburn, considering that this was her very first film and that she was not exactly a seasoned actor, she still carried herself quite well. This was not a tour de force performance, but one that was filled with some very good moments. She showed promise. Along with extraordinary beauty.

If you're able to see this through a lens that can view some rather stagy acting without jumping to a hasty dismissal, you'll find a real gem in the rough here.
