So what happens to Karloff's character?

<spoilers>

At the end of the movie, Karloff's character just disappears. What happens to him? I rewound it to make sure that I hadn't missed something, and the last scene I notice him is when he gets on the elevator at the hospital to go downstairs.

A bit of a loose end... It would have been nice if they'd tied up that part of the story.

Overall, the film is an enjoyable early talkie with some good plot twists in it. It just wish they would have given some resolution to Karloff's character.

He went into a time machine and ended up being a supporter of Michelle Bachmann. So obvious.

Truth is stranger than fiction, but fiction must make sense.

He is at the cemetary when it is raided, and presumably arrested.

/when Holt's character is on the operating table he mentions to the doctor that Henderson (Karloff) was arrested and being interrogated.
