It's a Wonderful Life

The bank run scene was a definite influence for Capras It's a Wonderful Life.
The depositors rally to help Dickson was so reminiscent of the citizens of Bedford Falls coming to help the Baily Savings and Loan from being snapped up by Potter. I'm glad I stayed up to watch this film.TCM Summer Under the Stars tribute to Constance Cummings has been a revelation of great 1930's films I've not seen. Always something good from TCM..and Constance was a knock out-

This was a good movie, wasnt it? While I knew who John Huston was, from "Dodson", if nothing else, I was totally unfamiliar with Cummings until this set of TCM movies. But I don't think they needed Wonderful Life, or vice:versa to know what a bank run was considering the times they lived in. BTW, wasn't that vault door impressive?
