Does it ever come on AMC or TCM?

And, if so, does it have anything edited? I'd be willing to purchase it, but it can sell on VHS for an excess of $30 with no problem. Though I want to see it, it's not worth that much for a used VHS and it isn't available on DVD. However, I hate knowing that I'm missing something, so I don't think I'd wait around for it on television if there were scenes that would be edited.

Is the VHS route the only way to see the film or perhaps the only way to see it in it's entirety?

Yes, it does come on TCM - that's where I saw it. I don't believe that TCM does any "editing" - I don't think anyone knows whether what TCM shows is exactly the same as the original release. Worthwhile to watch, however, by any means.

I recorded it from TCM on VHS a number of years ago. I'd be happy to give it to you, as I have no need to see the film again. (Also on the tape, Mighty Joe Young and the silent version of The Lost World.) Email me at [email protected].

Saw it today on TCM and I must say, it was exciting. I thought the friendship between Horn and his gun bearer was very touching. I'd love to see it again.

I believe they show it every couple of years or so. Their films are unedited. It just aired again on 10/23/13.
