Any word on how this release compares to the US release? I know there are a few studio-censored scenes restored, but what of print/picture quality, etc.?

Thanks!

If you look at the Masters of Cinema releases and compare them to the Kino (or other comapnies) releases on dvdbeaver.com, usually the quality is about the same. Once in a while, there is a greater variety of gray tones in the region 2 release, but usually they are so similiar, it's not worth going out of the way to get the European copy. Milestone Film and Video is usually very reliable with the handling of the film prints. So the only differenc may be m-peg compression or something like that.

And I just looked at dvdbeaver's page on Tabu. The iage appears to be identical to the copy I have, except a little brighter. The disc comes with a documentray (MoC version), so if you want special features, go for the European copy. However, Milestone's is just as good.
