High cost of Tabu

This board has been quiet for two years. That is about the time I have been hunting for a affordable copy.
Last week, I checked Amazon: New dvd: $ 77. to $ 160. Used:$ 64. Tape: New:$ 200.00, used: $ 100 to $ 160.
eBay seems to have a lot of laser discs at around, $ 35. CDuniverse had dvd's at $ 77. used at $ 63. All, to rich for my blood. Milestone should print a thousand more copies. BUT !! I was able to check out a copy at the library, Free. Amazing. I tried them, on the off-chance, they might have one. Bingo.

Masters of Cinema in the U.K. are considering upgrading their edition of Tabu (the uncut version) to Blu-ray next year, so a new edition from Milestone might be forthcoming stateside.

Being a long-time librarian I appreciate the libraries plug. Sometimes we do good work, eh?

Now, as for the prices for "Tabu," they've come down somewhat in 2012, but still...$50+ for a new copy?!?!! C'mon Milestone, print some new (affordable) copies!
