What does Trilby sing?

Could anyone please help me identify the name of the song which Trilby sings in the final scene of the 1934 film, Svengali?
Also who sang the song (if not Marian Marsh)?
Thank you

Thank you very much for the information.
I thought it would be a longshot since its such an old film (and often overlooked). Never expected a reply within
3 days!!!
Super.
You've made my day.

Trilby also sang "Alice Ben Bolt" (or whatever the full title is) early in the book. It was sort of her signature tune....

It is of no real importance to me, but I thought I would point out that this movie was released in 1931. Not trying to be a smart***, just trying to be helpful.

Very good movie by the way. The acting, sets and camera work were especially well done.

I realised my mistake as I was typing my question (on my mobile no less), but just couldn't be bothered to fix it! Well spotted though! I'm duly impressed. With you AND the film that is.. :-)

It is also the song from which Scarlett O'Hara sings a few lines in the "morning after" scene in Gone With the Wind (the lines Trilby is just starting to sing as Svengali's hold loosens, and she stops singing).

Thank you so much for that "practicepiano". That bit of info just reminded me that I haven't watched GWTW since watching "SVENGALI" which is almost a year ago. I shall correct that oversight soon. In fact, I'm quickly going to have a look at that scene now (not that I doubt you, I just want to see it).

Anyway, thanks a lot again. People on IMDB are so amazing.

Have a good day. Night night

You're welcome!

It strikes me as a great combination to use in a montage -- Trilby petering out on "Oh, she wept with delight . . ." and Scarlett picking it up and continuing. I wonder if anyone's ever used it in a montage.
