Grandpa?

Who played the grandfather?

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

Charles Chic Sale, as stated in the credits on the main page.

Grandpa was great! The actor Charles Sale played the old man so well I thought he really was an elderly man. It turns out he was about forty-six at the time the movie was made but he could easily pass as someone almost twice that old. His walk and movements were excellent. It was as if he had two bad knees and achy muscles all over his body.

The character was excellent too. He was the voice of reason throughout the movie. He did seem to have something against foreigners but other than that he was right on target. We have to be willing to fight and die to maintain the kind of life that's worth living.

If we let the thugs and evildoers take over because we're afraid to stand up to them, we're not only throwing away our own lives, we also jeopardize the lives of future generations, and devalue all the contributions and sacrifices of past generations have made on our behalf.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
