Netflix!
As of today, Skippy is available through Netflix streaming! I don't know how long it will be available or if this means that a DVD release is forthcoming.

It was on TCM yesterday. I know I'm posting this after the fact but I saved it to DVR and just watched it today. Anyway, it can be seen on TCM.com until August 1st. Beyond that, I assume TCM will run it again sometime soon. It is worth watching.

On again this morning and it nearly killed me watching this kid in bed pretending he was up dressing...griping like a little old man who was not happy with anything... Cooper's lips never changed their unique shape all his life! LOL And now I realize why his fans were so loyal through the years. Kids ought to watch how they made kids movies back in the early 20th century. They'd get a kick out of how the generation gap existed long before their parents/grandparents were born. Different standards for discipline would need an explanation, but kids understand that we no longer treat kids as they once were--150 yrs earlier adult apprentices were beaten...Benjamin Franklin ran away from his apprenticeship in his brother's printing shop when his father convinced his brother he did not beat Ben enough!
