I love her in this MOVIE! She is so caring, warm, inviting...
She sings so lovely too!
I am glad that she had a signficant role in this film!

I really enjoy Pre-Code movies, I recently watched this one. I have heard about Miss McKinney for awhile now. She did an excellent job.

Agree - she was just terrific, the best performance in the film in my opinion along with Dorothy Mackaill. I especially liked the scene where she sang. I found her singing to have a Billie Holiday-esque quality.
