I know this was a few years before the Nazis took over Germany, but it's kind of weird to have a swastika on what appears to be opaque glass. Unfortunately, it took more than pulling a lever to smash the Nazis.

The swastika is an ancient symbol of good luck that predates the nazi regime by centuries. You can often see it on barns in pennsylvania dutch country (the PA dutch being the descendants of german immigrants) - and they didn't mean it as a nazi thing!

Am watching on TCM right now, and I did notice the Symbol. Thought it was kind of weird being there, but I am aware of it's existence before the Nazi's misappropriated it.

I didn't see it but once read that it was a Native American symbol.

What I saw of this movie was pretty funny.
