Can someone remind me how the Maury C. song goes?

I broke my vcr and cannot play all my vhs marx bros. movies.

What is the song?
Another thing I never understood was Who was M.C. anyway? A popular singer of the time?

"When A nightinggale could sing so blue...sweeter then you do..." (???)

Maurice Chevalier is the name. He was indeed a popular singer as well as actor. The flat boater hats worn by the Marxes in that sequence were Chevalier's trademark.

The song is called "You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me." The lyrics the Marxes sing are:

If the nightingales could sing like you
They'd sing much sweeter than they do
For you brought a new kind of love to me
If the Sandman brought me dreams of you
I'd want to sleep my whole life through
For you brought a new kind of love to me.

I've never heard Chevalier's version all the way through, so I'm not 100% certain about the rest of the lyrics in the song. I have a cover done by Ethel Waters, but the lyrics in her version might be different than Chevalier's.

"No trains will be sold after the magazines leave the depot."

Thanks alot... I love your name, is it from HorseFeathers, I can't seem to remember again.

I am a fellow Marx lover...I try to make everyone I know watch the movies.

My 2 favorite songs are "Hello, I must be going..." and "Tomorrow is another...Daaaaaaaaaayyy"

I have been trying to find the silver box set but I cannot find it for a decent price, on the internet it's expensive.
