Was 'MILLIE' Originally Part-Technicolor?

Hi, my name is John Carpenter (NOT the horror film maker!) I am a Genre Recreationist Independent Film Maker from Long Island New York who has had two of my productions released and winning awards theatrically. [email protected], if you'd be interested in contacting me. I also am a film historian and preservationist with a saught after 2,000 plus film collection in 16mm. I search hard and long (no pun intended) for pre-code early talkie releases so as to study the dialogue and the life style of said period. So, of coarse learning of ALPHA Video's release of "Millie" was a must have due to the homosexual overtones and how they were viewed by denizens of the era in normal life accepting situations. Although originally photographed as a independent prior to RKO's buying it - a slight runmor came to me that it was (as most early talkies contained) a Part Technicolor sequence. Was this a fact or a fiction? Please respond, it's most appreciated. If you'd like to see more info on the guy who's tossing out this query to you GOOGLE: barjon motion picture comedy endeavors for a article by Tiffany Elliot and info on my newest release utilizing the TV and Radio King of all this nostalgic--Mr Joe Franklin (oh, and me too! in my film archive) Thanx John Carpenter
