Did he deserve death sentence in your opinion?

He needed to be in an asylum for life with no possibility of release so they could study his brain!

But in the film, they gave him the death penalty at the end.

They've had numerous serial killers in custody for life and "studying their brains" has given nothing whatsoever to society in the way of preventing future murderers from committing crimes.

Yes execute him . In a circumstance like lennie from mice and men i would consider another judgment. But with peters character. He knew what he was doing was wrong, he only went after soft targets , he didn't pick men who people may not miss (i.e. criminals )to kill. Or make an effort to seek help for his " demons". Just took advantage of the most trustworthy, innocent and defenseless. Children
