Did Henry lock Elizabeth in her room --- the stupid jerk --- you having a lunatic murdering monster lurking around your house --- and you lock your beloved in an easy accessible room --- what a dumbass !!!

I think his intention was to lock the monster out. With those heavy duty doors, it probably seemed like a good idea at the time.
