Actually, it was made in 1931. It was a good film. I love the clothes.

Fairly overrated at 8.1.

So dad is too involved with his company. Do they want everything? Financial security, mansion with servants, they see him all the time, not enough, he has to take a trip to Europe with the wife or else she's lonely... And the son crashes a plane after marrying the obviously wrong woman for him. No sympathy from me.

"for a movie made in 1933" [actually '31]

No year or decade has a corner on cinematic quality. There are plenty of great movies from the 1920s, '30s, '40s, and '50s. In fact, the ratio of hits, as far as quality is concerned, was far higher in those decades than it has been in the present century.
