Her first movie role. I enjoy her work. If you watch very many of her movies, you'll notice that in an era when it was fashionable for women to have short hair, Aline had long tresses. She & Ann Harding are two that I can think of who had long hair! Any others?
shareThat's a little hard to say because actresses wore different hairstyles for different parts. Though, off the top of my head, I can't remember seeing Katherine Hepburn in a short style until she was much older.
Regarding Aline MacMahon: I really like her work; she was an outstanding actress...I'll watch her in anything.
I also like Ann Harding very much...we share a birthday. One of her later works is "It Happened on Fifth Avenue." I you haven't seen Ann in that picture, she gets a "make-down" as it were. She's wonderful in that.
