English Subtitles on U.S. Blu-ray

Does the U.S. Blu-ray edition of this film have regular English subtitles for the Spanish version? I currently own the UK Blu-ray, which only has closed captions for the hearing impaired. So every time there's an off-screen sound, like a knock on the door or someone screaming, it actually shows this in brackets [KNOCK AT DOOR], which is very distracting. Is this also the case with the U.S. Blu-ray?
