Lon Chaney Sr. as Dracula
I know that Chaney was originally approached to do this role but he got sick and they cast Lugosi. I wonder how he would have done? Also would he have put his own touch on the makeup?

shareDidn't know that. But it worked out for the best in the end.He was great as the Wolf man. It's my favorite of the old Universal classics.
shareI'm talking about Lon Chaney Sr. Lon Chaney Jr. was the wolfman.
shareouch...and from a horrorfan to boot.....
shareMy mistake.I gotta read more carefully.Heard of Sr. but never seen any of his work.Didn't he do the original Phantom of the Opera in the 20s.
shareyes and the first Hunchbacked of Notre Dame and the Unholy Three.

I didn't know that either but I think his face better suited to the Wolf Man too.
Bela does a fine job.
Senior....not Junior.
Senior was the OG Phantom? Silent Film horror giant? Man of a Thousand Faces?
Oh yes of course! I read about Senior a while ago, I've not seen anything of his. One of his most interesting sounding projects is lost forever, I forget the name but I'm sure London was in the title.
Do you know it?
Thank you for the correction.
