Svengoolie Will Show It on 10/24/2015

Dracula (1931) will be shown on Svengoolie on MeTV on Saturday, 24 October 2015, at 9PM central time. 

Leading lady Helen Chandler certainly had a rough life. A star on the Broadway stage, she came to Hollywood but could not find true stardom in the movies. Helen developed a serious alcohol and sleeping pill addiction, and in 1940 was committed to a sanitarium. Ten years later, she was severely burned and disfigured by a fire, started when she fell asleep while smoking. Helen died from complications following surgery for a bleeding ulcer in 1965. No relatives claimed her body and she was cremated.

I live in the middle of Texas where it has been raining all day long! Suffice to say that it's perfect weather for a good horror classic.

I've seen this before but I'm really looking forward to it. It's as if I'm seeing it for the first time!

Watching...remember watching this on tv on Sunday afternoon when I was like 12 years old, oohh man, was I freaked out? But, o completely love it

I am watching now and it IS the Bela Lugosi version, not the Spanish version (as listed). Although I would like to see that too.
GREAT movie to watch only a week before Halloween!

I watched it, mostly the latter half, was impressed by what looked to be a restoration, as I've never seen a better looking print. They added music, not too much but enough to make it easier for modern viewers to watch. I'd rather see it as it was when first released but the music was well done and helped the movie through some slow spots, and it has a few.
