Andy Devine and his Amazing Bread Slicer

I saw this for the first time yesterday. Loved it for all the surprises, Boris Karloff, Andy Devine; and Walter Huston is always a treat. But from now on my main reason for watching will be a thin Andy Devine in the prison kitchen slicing bread. He uses a mechanical contraption with a large disk on one end with a sharp opening machined into it. Andy turns the disk round and round with a handle and feeds whole loaves into the disk from the left side. Perfect slices drop out. Watch out fingers! It was fascinating, a completely manual operation. Today I'm not sure which was more surprising: a thin Andy Devine or his amazing bread slicer. I couldn't find a good example on Google. Maybe someone can put a snippet of this scene on Youtube.

THAT was Andy Devine?!?! I wish I didn't delete it already, because I'd like a second look at him. If it weren't for the hypnotic slicing machine that completely grabbed my attention as well, I probably wouldn't even know which character we were talking about.
