Interesting movie

War nurse is not a concept I had been familiar with prior to seeing this movie. Obviously I knew there were nurses in the war but these were a different breed. They were unaffiliated with the usual groups and the young women recruited to join had no formal experience or training.

Many of these girls had never left home before then suddenly they find themselves in the middle of a war, dealing with life and death situations on a daily basis. They were not very different than the young men who were going off to fight in the war.

It's hard to imagine so many young people doing the same these days. Hopefully we'll never have the occasion to find out.
