PRIX DE BEAUTE (silent)

Saw the newly restored silent version at the SF SIlent Film Festival.
2013. Said to be better than the sound version. The thin overwrought
plot is slow and meditative for most of the film, but made enjoyable by
the face and body of Louise Brooks, the fascinating faces and
expressions of the other actors, and the costumes, street and workplace
scenes from the 1930s, and great cinematography.
I'm posting here, because IMDb wants 10 lines for a review, and this only makes 4
I give it a 7 out of 10 stars..

Just enjoyed watching the silent version earlier this evening but with a live orchestra. Fascinating glimpse into yesteryear. Was not expecting the rather shocking end to the storyline. I agree with your rating, a solid 7/10.
