Charles Bickford - hubba hubba!

I was only familiar with Charles Bickford as a middle aged character actor (Days of Wine and Roses, A Star is Born, Fallen Angel). I didn't know he had ever been a leading man. It took me a minute to place who he was, but I thought he was a great looking guy. He is very appealing in this movie. This is what I love about watching classic films - making connections with where I've seen actors before. I would have never guessed that Charles Bickford was in a film with Kay Francis, another favorite!
