All I can think watching this movie is how very hot it must have been, in the desert. The heavy uniforms. The nightclub scenes, with everyone dressed up in formal clothing! No air conditioning, everyone with a cigarette stuck in his or her face, and only palm leaf fans - must have been just sweltering.

They had standards back then, when out in public look your best at all times.

Was it really filmed in Morrocco, or a desert town in CA?
