Is there any chance of seeing this?
The 1938 version is one of my favorite movies and i would dearly love to see the original.
I wish some clever duck would put them together on a DVD with some commentary.

shareHear, hear!
Personally, I think I have too much bloom. Maybe that's the trouble with me.
YouTube: Hldy 1!!!
shareI can't imagine why they have never put this on DVD. I would love to see it. They could put out a double DVD set of this and Hepburn's version, for comparison.
And it has Edward Everett Horton doing the same role in both versions. That in itself is enough to warrant the 1930 version being made available. But it also has Mary Astor. And William Holden.
Wake up, people!
I was going to write a paper comparing the 1930 & 1938 versions of this movie. Just sat down to take notes on the 1930 version but it has disappeared! Does anyone remember the uploader on YouTube?
