What a Farce
This movie makes the Royal Flying Corps look like bunch of alcoholics. You cannot drink all night and fly all day, especially those old primitive crates. Too much over acting.
shareI thought the same thing too, but that was true. The engines were lubricated with castor oil, and the pilots were constantly inhaling the fumes. The result was loose bowels and stomach cramps. They drank all the time to try and control their digestive systems.
