Other movies in 70 MM?

Enjoyed this film, which I think is amazing for the date it was produced. I am glad John Wayne learned a lot about acting as his career progressed.
I'm wondering if any other movies of that era were shot in 70 mm............

I've seen the widescreen version of 'The Bat Whispers' (1930). I would love to see 'The Big Trail' in widescreen sometime soon.

it's on DVD, there's a box set of john wayne westerns that has a copy of the 70mm print with it, it looks wonderful for the most part, especially considering the age of the film

There's a 2-disc special edition that has both the 70mm and the concurrently-shot 35mm, plus several extras about the making of it and about the director, etc. A bit pricey, but certainly worth it.

It seems that that year, they also filmed 'Billy the Kid' in 70mm, but nothing of that (either negative nor print) have survived.

Watching 'The Big Trail' and 'The Bat Whispers' in widescreen was fun, and the excellent quality of the images really made seeing them new and more worthwile experiences.
