Possible joke by the writers.

The address for the killing as given to the police desk Sgt is 191 East 8th Street. Looking up that address in Google street maps, this is the site of the Cooper Union institution, founded in 1858.

"The college, which is divided into three schools – the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture, the School of Art and the Albert Nerken School of Engineering – offers internationally-accredited undergraduate and Master's degree programs exclusively in the fields of architecture, fine arts, and engineering as a member of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD). Cooper is considered to be one of the most prestigious colleges in the United States, with all three of its member schools consistently ranked among the highest in the country."

The deceased is never identified other then as someone who really had it coming. Perhaps one of the writers flunked out of the fine arts program and got his revenge by "killing" the teacher who gave him the bad grade.

Wow! That's extremely interesting. It had also occurred to me to do a Google search on that specific address that was mentioned as the crime scene, but you did it for me! Nice!

I too wonder what the connection might have been.

He was on Planet Earth the whole time!
