I seriously do not get it. People of the 20s were so very strange. But I imagine if they saw film of today they'd think we were from outer space.
Whatever, I did not enjoy this movie because I kept wondering why he would avoid a girl he loved just because she was rich...

I highly doubt this movie reflected real people back the 20s. There wasn’t a lot of realism in movies back then. Audiences at the time probably laughed at all the contrivances and silliness just as much as we do now. share
