You just can't make a movie that's almost entirely insturmental with a cast in which no member can actually play any insturment at all (or if they could, never had an opportunity to do so).

If there was anything that could happen in several minutes faking your way through a violin solo, say, good acting... it still wouldn't cut it. This movie is unbearable!

Imagine, for instance, watching a real violinist trail her way across the floor. That would be powerful. But an actor faking it for minutes and minutes and minutes and minutes? Somebody call an ambulance, I'm going into a coma...
