the only person who truly adores this movie?

I caught this movie on TCM about a decade ago and have enjoyed my copy of it a number of times since. As a reviewer noted, its theme of "pagan" innocence winning out over hard-edged Christianity was wildly at odds with the sympathies of the time and lends a sort of "fairy tale" air to the entire effort (especially the lazily perfect ending).
Dorothy Janis was about as cute as any human being ever immortalized on film. I'm glad she seems to have had a fulfilling and happy life following her brief foray into motion picture land. The last I heard (about two or three years ago in a report in "Classic Images"), she was still going strong and attending film festivals in her mid-nineties. Good for her. Steve.

No, you're not the only one! I saw it back in 1995 (TCM Silent Sunday Nights) and fell in love with it and Ramon Novarro. Was very sad to learn of the circumstances surrounding his passing. Would love to see it again. (Hint, hint, anyone who has a copy!)
