In less than four months from this posting, it will have been eighty years since this underservedly-forgotten little masterpiece was released. The best films retain their appeal over the decades, oblivious to the vagaries of passing fads and mores, and THE PAGAN certainly fills that prescription. Steve V.

by the last week of January, and if you like more silents, including Ramon Novarro ones, check their website. So many are seeing the light of day on video.

Thanks for the heads-up, TWW. I still remembering seeing this for the first time, about 15 years ago, on TCM's "Silent Sunday Nights". Was enchanted by it, and Ramon Novarro.
