Mystery solved! :)

I had been wondering, all this time, who the handsome young man, looking up, smiling, with water soaking his face, is in the TCM "Silent Sunday Night" opening montage. Finally, I know it's George O'Brien in "Noah's Ark"! He was the only person in the montage I hadn't been able to identify, until now. I had, prior to now (watching this movie on TCM last night), already seen all of the other movies that the various clips are from, but just not ever Mr. O'Brien in this. Mystery finally solved! :)

I must admit I let out a little gasp....

Should anyone wish to quiz themselves on the movies used in TCM's Silent Sunday Montage, the titles are given but hidden in the 'Show More' section of this video....

Thanks so much for the "show more" info. I was unsure about a few of them, and even though it feels like cheating, I'm glad to know!

Yes, sir, I'm going to do nothing like she's never been done before!

Yes, the video doesn't provide any "spoilers" that are visable right away so one is able to muse over their answers for as long as they wish.

I do envy those who know a lot of these titles right away as I am more a newbie with regard to silent films....and even though a friend introduced me to this video some time back I had forgotten "Noah's Ark" was the film the clip came from.

In spite of my ignorance, (or maybe due to my ignorance) I have a question about the last Greta Garbo film mentioned, as it is one of my all time favorite films and am unsure at what part of the film the clip is from. Maybe it is from an early shot of her at home....

In any case I thought this movie was fascinating, and am very glad I taped it. I planned on only watching the first few minutes but ended up staying up for the entire film. I an surprised it doesn't have a higher rating.

I absolutely love that montage TCM uses for Silent Sunday Nights. I know where all the film clips are from, but have not seen all the films. Whenever I am able to see one for the first time, however, it feels magic whenever the small sequence in that montage is used. I also just saw Noah's Ark for the first time and loved that scene where George Obrien regains his eyesight just before stepping onto the ark. It was beautiful!
