Not much like the book.

While this version is the most faithful to O. Henry's The Caballero's Way, it is much different than the short story. Goodall is turned from a person who kills for sport into a Robin Hood character. Lt Sandridge becomes a Sgt who fleeces his own men at cards. The ending is the same though; Cisco gets his revenge without laying a hand on the cheating girlfriend

I would like to see Quentin Tarantino turn the original story into a screenplay.
