Seven Footprints To Satan -- A translation from Italian back to English

As a lifelong old movie buff, I was thrilled recently to be able
to purchase from ScooterMoviesShop.com a DVD of Benjamin Christensen's
1929 silent classic, "Seven Footprints to Satan". I wasn't so thrilled
to find out the copy I received is totally in Italian, though I
shouldn't have been surprised.

Long considered lost, a print unearthed in Italy a few years back
is the only one currently available, though I hear rumors a Danish
copy may also be floating around.

Since this film is without question of interest to other film buffs
than me, I undertook to do a complete translation of the Italian titles
back to English using a variety of online sources, and am pleased
to announce the translation is now complete. It is freely available
online at

or by emailing me at [email protected]

Since I suck at html, the latter provides the better looking copy :).

The translation is ultra easy to use. Simply print it out, and follow
it sequentially as you watch the movie. The names of the characters
speaking the current dialog have even been added for added clarity. I
would actually suggest that anyone simply interested in knowing the
plot of the film could read it and definitely get the gist of the
whole story without even having to see the film itself. In any event,
this has been a labor of love for me, and I think the results have
turned out quite well.

I really, really admire and appreciate this kind of generosity, Chriwor! I know I'm posting this late, but still...

Chriwor-1, thank you for providing this translation. Over the years, I've thought to do this, but just haven't gotten around to it. I really appreciate the work you put into the translation. Thank you, again.
