Having only caught the last 25 minutes or so of this, I really would like to see the whole thing. So many raw moments that I don't think would ever get into a movie these days. Very unusual and affecting.

Yeah, earlie talkies made before 1935 had an edge to them, because the Hayes Code didn't take effect until sometime in '34.

That would explain why when they first came upon the woman in the covered wagon, the one guy said "I saw her first", which shocked me. The movie was pretty interesting.
