DDV Available from Turner Classic Movie Channel web site

Early one morning last week (Nov. 2015) on Turner Classic Movies, I saw this movie listed, and in reading the synopsis, realized it was an earlier version of the John Wayne version, "3 Godfathers."

I DVR'd it, and was very glad I did. Much darker version that the John Wayne version, and Charles Bickford was wonderful

I searched TCM's website, and I don't see the movie listed on the schedule any time in the near future.

HOWEVER, they do have a DVD available for sale at $14.99. It's actually a double feature, with BOTH Hell's Heroes AND the 3 Godfathers - but it's not the John Wayne version, it's the "Three Godfathers," 1936 version with Walter Brennan, Chester Morris and Lewis Stone, directed by Richard Boleslawski.

One Amazon vendor has the 2-disc set for 11.99 plus 3.99 shipping. I was very pleased with both versions of this Christmas-based story.
