Some footage on 'Gold Diggers of 1937' DVD

I just picked up the new "Busby Berkley Collection - Volume 2" which includes "Gold Diggers of 1937". Listed as a special feature on the cover is 2 excerpts from "Gold Diggers of Broadway". I have not seen the "Jazz Singer" disc yet, so I don't whether this is the same footage on that set or some different ones.

The footage on "GD of 37" is "ALL" the existing footage ("Tiptoe" and Finale). There was an error on "Jazz Singer"; it included "Tiptoe" and, by mistake, a number from "The Rogue Song". There was some conjecture that Warners would reissue a corrected "Jazz Singer", but I guess they opted to include the "GDOB" footage on the new Berkeley set instead.

Also! Take note of the included trailer for Gold Diggers of 1937 - there is a couple of quick snips of Gold Diggers of Broadway. The trailer does a quick review of all the Gold Digger films up until that time, starting with Gold Diggers of Broadway, with a big production number showing the chorines dancing with shovels (gold digging, perhaps?) and then a fantastic art deco set for a number titled, "Painting the Clouds with Sunshine". Then, they move on to the newer Gold Diggers films. I would sure like to see the Gold Diggers of Broadway.

I love the voice-over for the trailer:

"Ever since the first Gold Diggers production thrilled the world with its music and magnificence, the word, 'Gold Diggers', has set a standard of brilliance unexcelled in the annals of the screen."
